Sharon Sellers, president of SLS Consulting, has over twenty-five years of experience as a senior Human Resources generalist. Sharon was the Southeastern U.S. representative to the 2016-2017 Membership Advisory Council for the Society of HR Management (SHRM). Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Management. She has published articles through several online and printed HR publications and has been quoted as a Subject Matter Expert in local and national HR articles, radio and television, including the Wall Street Journal, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the NY Post, the Washington Post, National Public Radio (NPR)’sAll Things Considered, the Chicago Tribune and WCBD TV2 in Charleston, SC. In addition to her consulting, she has over a decade of experience as an adjunct instructor at Trident Technical College in Charleston where she taught courses in human resources including the SHRM Learning System, HR compliance, and employment law courses. 

In May 2016, Sharon was named SC HR Professional of the Year by the SC Chamber of Commerce and the SC SHRM State Council. In June 2015, Sharon provided testimony before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Washington, D.C. on the subject of retaliation in the workplace. Sharon often volunteers her time speaking to business groups regarding how organizations can assist their employees who are victims of domestic violence and she was named as a member of the Domestic Violence Task Force established by (SC) Governor Nikki Haley. In March 2018 she was invited to participate in a panel to assist the U.S. House of Representatives Administrative Committee as they updated their anti-harassment policies and procedures. Sharon has also served as an expert witness in court cases regarding harassment and best HR business practices.

Terry Stinson

Terry Stinson

Terry Stinson has over 20 years’ experience in Human Resources serving in several capacities including Diversity Manager, Senior Training Instructor, Staffing Supervisor, Supervisor of HR Employee Service Center (Benefits Administration) as well as Director of Human Resources for a 1600-employee large public utility. She holds a B.S. Degree in Business Management from Charleston Southern University and an MBA from The Citadel. Previously, she was the Coordinator for Minority Affairs, the Evening College Director and taught management courses for Charleston Southern. Terry is a Past President and a Past Diversity Chair of PSHRM, the Charleston, S.C. SHRM Chapter. In prior years, she was also selected to national SHRM’s Diversity and Inclusion Task force and is a prior member of the SC Chamber of Commerce Diversity Committee. She is certified as a SHRM-CP through the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). Terry is a very valuable member of SLS due to her knowledge of the policies and benefit administration of public and quasi-public organizations. She is new to the SLS Team, but we know that our clients will benefit from with her extensive curriculum development and training expertise as well as her experience in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion field.

Peggy B. Smith has over twenty-five years of progressive experience in Labor Relations, EEOC, MSPB, FMLA, SCA, Workplace Safety/Wellness, Benefits Administration, Management, and Human Resources. Her vast experience includes senior HR positions in the non-profit industry, in government contracting, and in the U.S. government.

Peggy has a B.S. in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University and an Associates in Business Management from Tri-County Technical College. She holds numerous certifications and designations including Certified Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Certified Labor Relations Specialist -USPS, Certified Safety Specialist – National Safety Council, and Certified Advocate for USPS in EEOC, MSPB, and Arbitration. In addition, Peggy was a member of the South Carolina Chamber Human Resources Committee where she assisted the Chamber in monitoring state legislation which would affect effective employee management. Prior to starting her 20 plus years in the HR field, Peggy was a restaurateur, which helps provide valuable acumen for our Food and Beverage clients.

With her exceptional experience in training, Peggy provides great insight, interest, and knowledge to our training services. Her experience in senior HR roles helps our clients with their on-call employment needs as well as working with us on specific employee management projects.

Deanna Cunnane

With over 12 years’ experience in human resources and project management, Deanna brings to our team creative methods of establishing performance metrics and analyzing critical processes. She has worked for firms such as CitiBank and Brassring. Her most recent position prior to becoming a consultant was VP-Human Resources Business Partner for Goldman Sachs in New York where she supervised an HR team that provided support for over 600 sales employees. Deanna has an MBA in Information Systems and Marketing from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University and a BA in Communications from Seton Hall University. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).
